Travis Taylor is currently serving as a Project Data Manager and Student Coordinator for Recycle Hawaii's EPA REO Program at Ka'u High School. While he may not be pursuing a career directly in healthcare, his drive and passion for mentoring students within leadership and HOSA has not gone unnoticed, as he credits his time in HOSA as a student member/leader, gaining the professional skills that have made him who he is today.

When he was serving as Hawaii HOSA's State Postsecondary Vice President from 2020 until 2022, Travis also served on the Keiki First Youth Community Advisory Board for the development of youth-centered, Hawaii-focused health posters to address top adolescent health concerns that have been developed by researchers at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing (NAWSON) to increase health literacy and foster open communication between youth and their health care providers. These posters were dedicated to founding Hawaii HOSA state advisor Ada Toyama.

In 2021, Travis collaborated with the County of Hawaii to create a data visualization and video on the CARES Act and its impact during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Travis received his Bachelor of Arts in Art with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
